Pike peaks

When you're clambering over the boulders and up the mountain that is Elected Hotties, you have to understand that only one person can stand at the top at a time.

This week, it's St. George Councilman Jon Pike, who is at the peak, the pinnacle, the apex of hotness that can be obtained only by the hottest male city councilman in the state.

That's Jon, all right.

Jon Pike
Making St. George even hotter this summer!

This elected hottie joined the city council during a heated 2007 election season and is trying to figure out the best kind of airport to build down there. More here.

See you next week, when Jon takes on the other hotties for the men's state final.

UPDATE!!!
Jon just sent us this note:
Thanks for the good (and surprising) news! I definitely don't consider myself a "hottie", (and certainly my teenage daughters don't!), but an elected official will take any positive press he/she can get! I've visited your site, and it's really fun. I'll look forward to other "events" in the future.

In the meantime, you and your viewers are always welcome to come visit us in St. George, the "hottest" city!

Poll results:
Jon Pike: 44 percent (21 votes)
Scott Ericson: 21 percent (10 votes)
Paul Cutler: 12 percent (6 votes)
Michael Poff: 10 percent (5 votes) tie
Dave Richards: 10 percent (5 votes) tie

Rocking your city's world

Poll No. 21

Elected Hotties is tired. Can you believe this blog has scoured Utah up and down looking for the hottest elected officials in the state. We've looked from Colorado City to Lewiston and from Wendover to Vernal. We even peeked into the state's corners a bit.

But we've finally come to our last semifinal poll: The hottest city councilmen in the state. The ladies' poll is halfway through, so get your votes in. But without further ado, we introduce the hottest men who currently grace the dais every other week.

Hot through it all

Poll No. 20

After slaving away at their regular jobs all day, the brave men and women of Utah's city councils gather to debate projects, property taxes and zoning. Occasionally, they have a spat or two with the mayor. Sometimes, they go until the wee hours of the morning with these discussions.

But this group of women manages to keep looking hot through the heaviest of discussions in council chambers. Check 'em out.

Hot guns

Poll No. 9

Yeah, sometimes it seems weird that we vote for sheriffs. But you want to have a guy in your county who knows how to lock people up.

These elected hotties not only do that, but they can get your vote right here because they really know how to wear the uniform.

Check out Summit Sheriff David Edmunds, Iron Sheriff Mark Gower, Piute Sheriff Marty Gleave, Sanpete Sheriff Kevin Holman, Salt Lake Sheriff Jim Winder and the winner from our southern Utah poll, Wayne Sheriff Kurt Taylor.

From southern belles to southern charm

Poll No. 2

OK, ladies. We know you've been dying to sink your teeth into a hunk of a real "genteel" man. For our second poll, we've scoured the plantations and manors of southern Utah to bring you a taste of southern hospitality.

Who are we kidding? Southern Utah isn't the Deep South, though it's strange that most people down there have southern accents. So, Sugar, try these gentlemen on for size.

Washington County Assessor Art Partridge is taking on Wayne County Sheriff Kurt Taylor, Piute and Wayne counties Attorney Marvin Bagley and Beaver County Assessor Trent Brown. What is it about assessors that gets us so hot and bothered?

Don't forget there's still a week left to vote for your favorite women of southern Utah.
